During your free time in Opatija, you can choose to relax on one of the town's sandy beaches and take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic Sea. Alternatively, you may prefer to continue exploring the town's rich cultural heritage by taking a leisurely stroll along the picturesque promenade, visiting one of the many art galleries or museums, or simply enjoying a refreshing drink or snack at one of the many cafes and restaurants that line the streets.
We typically arrange pick-ups at around 09:00 AM on the main train station, and the drop-off time is approximately 07:00 PM, depending on the road conditions for your return journey to the main train station. We kindly ask that you be ready at the main train station at agreed-upon time.

Our tour starts on the Zagreb main train station at 09:00, where our friendly and experienced tour leader/driver will greet you and take you on a scenic drive to the beautiful coastal town of Opatija.
As we make our way to Opatija,
you'll be treated to stunning views of the lush green forests, rolling
hills, and crystal-clear sea that characterize this part of Croatia.
After the ride, you'll have a couple of hours to have a lunch in reastaurant, swim and enjoy the sun in Opatija. You can relax on one of the town's sandy beaches, take a dip in the refreshing waters of the Adriatic Sea, or simply soak up the Mediterranean sunshine. Regarding restaurants there are restaurants with fresh seafood, traditional Croatian cuisine
and international dishes so we are sure that you will find something
delicious to suit your taste buds. Your tour leader will be on hand to
provide any advice or recommendations you need to make the most of your
time in Opatija.

The central beach of Opatija, known as Slatina, offers a unique experience with its large seawater pool-like construction. It is equipped with all the necessary amenities to ensure a comfortable stay, including umbrellas, sunbeds, showers, toilets, and changing rooms. Slatina provides a range of entertainment options for both children and adults. Kids can enjoy a free playground, a paid water park, and various attractions, while adults can relax at cafes and restaurants, engage in sports activities at volleyball and football playgrounds, play table tennis, or slide down water slides. Additionally, there is a beachfront shop, a newspaper kiosk, and a grocery supermarket for convenience. We just got back from the trip to the Plitvice Lakes, a tour offered by Permansio Tours. It includes a stop at Rastoke, full lunch and tickets to the park, so you can skip standing in line to buy, you get the pre-purchased tickets and go in. There are a few company’s that offer the same trip or very similar, but here’s why I think Permansio is the best.
As mentioned, the owner of the company was our driver today, and he is a great guide! Very knowledgeable and friendly. We actually feel like we made a new friend here today. If you are into learning more of the culture and history of the area, and going to the Plitvice National Park, we highly recommend this company.
They pick up and drop off at your hotel. The relationship with this company and the restaurant is very good, and we felt like we were treated like family.
The customers who book with Permansio are their top priority.
We had a great time and we would use this company for any and all tours when we come back to Zagreb and surrounding area.
